The number of existing viruses trojans rose by 87%
The number of malicious computer programs specifically created to steal personal user data, for the first time last year exceeded the figure of 100,000. Over the past year, this figure grew by another 87%. Compared with 2006, trojan virus was greater in 7,5 times!
The highest rate of such growth, which equals 135 per cent a year, recorded among the malicious programs designed for electronic spying on the user's actions. The number of Trojans targeting to steal personal login and password of users has increased by 94%, while the number of scams trying to get full access to the various banking systems and electronic money transfer systems and databases of plastic cards has increased by 22%.
